Luxarc Private Limited: Revolutionizing Kerala’s Building Material Industry with Technology
Thrissur, Kerala — July 30, 2024:
Two friends with a shared vision to modernize traditional industries have launched Luxarc Private Limited, a technology-driven building material distribution company based in Thrissur, Kerala. Founded by George Chakola and Rohit G. Nair, Luxarc aims to digitize and streamline the way construction materials are sourced and supplied across the state.
The journey began years earlier when George and Rohit, both engineering graduates with a passion for business and technology, discovered the power of coding and innovation during their college days. While their academic projects differed, their curiosity toward solving real-world problems aligned.
After graduation, George established a freelance digital agency Adscript specializing in app and website development, while Rohit pursued an MBA from IIM Sirmaur, gaining exposure to business strategy and management. Despite their different paths, the duo remained in touch, frequently discussing how technology could be used to simplify complex problems in India.
The spark for Luxarc came in 2022, when George experienced the inefficiencies of the building material supply chain firsthand while constructing his home. “It felt like the industry was still operating in the 1990s — disconnected, informal, and lacking transparency,” recalls George. Together, they began researching the market and realized that despite challenges, there was a massive opportunity to bring structure and technology to the sector.
By 2023, they initiated trial runs under the name Wearc, validating customer demand and building supplier networks. The real breakthrough came in March 2024, with a major order in Thripunithura, Ernakulam, supplying steel worth ₹3 lakhs and cement worth ₹1 lakh. Encouraged by the success, they decided to formalize their venture.
On July 30, 2024, Luxarc Private Limited was officially incorporated at Dotspace Business Centre, Punkunnam, Thrissur. The founders chose Thrissur not only for its sentimental value as their hometown but also because it is recognized as the business capital of Kerala.
Soon after incorporation, Luxarc launched its website (luxarc.in) and a hyperlocal delivery app, designed to connect contractors, retailers, and suppliers on a unified digital platform. This innovation positioned Luxarc as the first company in Kerala’s building material industry to integrate technology at its core.
“Building materials form the foundation of infrastructure, yet the industry has been left behind in terms of innovation. Luxarc is here to change that,” said Rohit G. Nair, Co-founder and Director. “Our goal is to empower local suppliers and builders through digital solutions that improve efficiency, pricing, and trust.”
With growing traction and a loyal customer base in Thrissur, Luxarc plans to expand operations across Kerala in the coming months. By the end of 2025, the company aims to re-establish operations in Ernakulam, followed by expansion to all major corporation cities by Q2 of FY 2026.
Luxarc represents a new chapter in Kerala’s construction supply chain — one where tradition meets technology to build a stronger, smarter future.
